The Program Manager sometimes referred to as the director of transplant, generically speaking - is responsible for providing day-to-day oversight and guidance for organ donation & recipient services in a designated region(s) or hospital supporting the execution of vital work processes that facilitate organ transplant. The job includes providing the leadership representative for donation and/or recipient patient care, depending on what side of transplant you work on, entailing donation referral, and waitlist management. The vast majority of this job revolves around team (coordinator) building, motivation, relationship management, family support, financial considerations, and lastly regulatory compliance.
